Along with fostering entrepreneurship, our mentors help equip teams with the skills and insights needed to excel in the competitive landscape of innovation. By supporting the concepts and teachings of NSF I-Corps™, mentors contribute directly to the growth and development of future innovators, making a tangible impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Role of an I-Corps Mentor

An NSF I-Corps™ mentor serves as an integral member of the instructional team, providing guidance, feedback, and expertise to teams throughout their journey.

Investing in Mentorship

The time commitment for an NSF I-Corps™ mentor varies depending on the program track, ranging from 2 to 4 hours a week for the local cohort to 7 to 15 hours a week for the national program. Mentors engage in pre-session meetings, attend class sessions and debriefs, and conduct mentoring meetings with their assigned teams.
